So today, right, the usually very relaxing and totally undangerous bus ride to college entered into new realms of excitement and adventure.
we all gathered at our usual spec under the g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s bus station a la truro and got on the bus, just like a normal day. except it was no normal day. it was exam results day which three people told me even before 8.30. ridiculous. anyway, there we were, on the bus, standing up because the paparazzi were there as normal trying to get my autograph and bla bla bla.... the bus started to reverse. then occurred crash number one. we reversed into another bus and then got stuck in what i call 'the big dip'. its basically a big dip in the road that buses get stuck in. then spent 5 minutes going "oooh", "ahhhh", "what if the bus explodes?" "what if we have to walk to college? my feet will fall off!" and also, "they should invent a waterproof pedometer for swimming."
before you ask, it'sok, we did survive.
after all the oohing and ahhing we set off. all was going well until we bumped into a bollard. not a sheep. a bollard. it's ok we survived that too, but by this point we were all slightly in fear for our lives and there was eye rolling etc.
it all went well for another few metres and then we caught a curb. people were starting to get their life jackets out of their backpacks and subtly put them on, whilst trying desperately to look cool and not like lemons.
then it all went well for a seemingly long time. managed to actualy hold an entire conversation about music tutors and then the very unexpected happened. we didnt even crash. we just stopped. in the middle of the road. just stopped.and the bus driver just... got off...???
call me crazy but I thought the bus drivers job was to... drive the bus... i know im young foolish and inexperienced at life but still...
so the now-very-late-for-college-students all decided that we would have a little bit of a revolution. with one swift movement we all arose like a tidal wave and with a loud cry of 'forwaaaard march!' got off the bus, en masse, and marched to college, lifejackets and all.
fortunately, our feet did not fall off and we arrived safely at our destination.
yippee yippee
The End.
p.s. the sun was lush today and beach is on le agenda for tomorooooo :oD
